Castlerigg is in great landscape, placed on a plateau between the hills that look down on it from all around- great views. This small format artists book uses pieces of map together with sections of original print. The book opens to reveal text about ate area and the megalithic stones viewed through a window as if looking down a tunnel.
Tunnel Book
Having developed a series of prints using maps and revisiting the Castlerigg megalithic stone circle near Keswick in the Lake District, UK the image of looking between the stones seemed right for a tunnel book. Think of the scenery on a theatre set and you get the picture.
