Square Pegs: Artery 111

Square Pegs opened their latest exhibition this morning: Artery lll a wonderful new collection of Art and Fine Craft curated from artists and makers in working in Wales. 


This show features four ceramicists - Clare Ferguson-Walker and Sue Hanna'swork you will already have seen in our exhibitions, are joined this time by Ian Rylatt and Joe Finch
 
We have blacksmith Alan Perry with a wide range of hooks key rings, candlesticks and other pieces for your home
Steve Thompson's sculptures in wood are a new collection of work from this talented craftsman
We have two magical hares made by Juanita Humphris with other paper mache figures and creatures
Stunningly delicate glass pieces by Paula Rylatt
Intricate silver jewellery created by Annie Coombs  - perfect opportunity to come and try on a piece of her exquisite work
Sorell Matei joins us for the first time in this exhibition with  portrait and abstract pieces
A group of Glenn Ibbitsons works on the the theme of human trafficking as well as a selection of collage pieces
Imaginative textile works from Melissa Warren
Based in the Rhondda in South Wales, Melissa works with knitting machines, combining hand-dying of pieces of knitting and yarns with structural elements to create large sculptural pieces, wearable body art and more traditional accessories.
John Binet-Fauvel uses reclaimed, recycled materials, mainly wire from redundant electrical equipment and knits  it by hand on frames.He  makes sculptural pieces, often using creatures as inspiration are not stiff and dead, but articulate like living things.
Abstract prints join Carole Kings books 
Artery lll runs from 31st July to Sat. August 4th
The Corn Exchange Gallery, Cardigan Guildhall, Cardigan.
